About
SARAH-JANE JEWELLERY UK - Established 2016
Handmade Sterling Silver jewellery Made in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
Mud pies were not for me as a kid, I played with my Nana's broken pearl necklaces and knotted chains. Sarah-Jane Jewellery was created in 2016 after my job of many years was hit with redundancy. I had gained my degree in Metalwork and Jewellery at Sheffield Hallam University in 1998, so decided to go back to my roots.
I have always sketched, made notes and had a love of photography. I am never without a sketchbook, scrap of paper or phone to document my surroundings or sketching new ideas. My work is inspired by my surroundings, landscapes and buildings that make up beautiful Staffordshire. I strongly believe in handmade production, my jewellery starts it's life and wire or sheet, I work in Sterling Silver, Pure Silver and some pieces have the addition of copper or brass. I only use natural ingredients in the making of my jewellery no harsh chemicals. I try to post on my Facebook page on a daily basis to let my followers know what I have been making during the day and always post what my workshop album of the day has been; I cannot function without music in my life.
I am regularly at Makers Markets around Staffordshire and have a large catalogue of work for sale, unfortunately I cannot stock all of my collection on this website and the best place to see my work is face to face at a Market.
